That same sort of thing has happened to me before. The sad thing is that it will probably show up a few blocks away broken and abandoned after a joy ride by pranksters. I feel your anger!
Get the word out to your local police station, because they will probably find it for you on their rounds. Good luck! It really did look charming on your porch!
Hillary I feel your pain, there are still some not so nice people out there. I'm sending a little prayer your way in hopes someone might return the bike to it's rightful owner, shame on them.
The brass neck of some people, to steal it from right outside your door! :( Not a very good start to the new year. I really hope it will turn up for you.
OH Hilary I'm so sorry to read this! I can't believe they had the nerve to walk right on your porch and take the bike....I hope they catch them and you get your bike back. Hope you were able to enjoy your holidays despite this. Happy New year! Maura :)
A few years ago, my brother-in-laws bike was stolen while he lived in San Francisco. Whoever stole it must have known him b/c they kept sending him notes...you'll find your bike here or there. When he got there, there would be a note with a smiley face. He never did get the bike back.
I can beat that...someone stole the PLASTIC, FAKE flowers out of the urn in my shop garden! They would have taken the urn too but it was bolted down. Karma...think Karma
Oh, I am soooo sorry. If it's any encouragement, I did have a vintage bike stolen once, and someone found it and remembered having seen it in my yard. I got it back, unharmed. Hoping the same for you.
Ohmigosh Hilary, that is just plain mean! I am so sorry!! That's how I felt when some neighborhood creep stole my pumpkins a few hours after I put them on the porch!
There are some cretins in this world. My first visit to your special space here and I am so pleased I found you. I know I am going to enjoy many visits. I will follow on my way out and hope you can find the time to come visit me and do the same. I look forward to engaging throughout twenty twelve with you. Cheers SpecialK XoXo
