That ladder is so cute. I saw one by the road a few months ago that I wanted to drag home but hubby couldn't catch the vision of it. :P
ReplyDeleteLove the cut out rooster too! I just got a scroll saw and might have to try something like that. Thanks for the inspiration! So glad you stopped by the Red Farmhouse.
Fun indeed, Hilary! (And a flippin' great deal!) I absolutely adore the way you've decorated your house and this porch is no exception. The green and red together, along with all that drool-inducing white wood, is perfection.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteDOH! I found an old ladder a few weeks ago... problem it was like 12 feet tall and I had no where tall enough in my house to put it. Hang it from the celling! Hello! Why didn't I think of that! - I'm going back to see if they still have it.
ReplyDeleteThis totally reminds me of a friend of mine! I just never think of this cool stuff!! Now, I need to go find an old ladder!! Would love for you to share this over at Trash 2 Treasure Tuesday on the Korner. http://kammyskorner.blogspot.com/2011/10/trash-2-treasure-tuesdays-3.html

I like the ladder but what I am really lovin is those large red and white checked curtains. I want a chair covered or a slip cover for a wing back chair in that pattern
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use a ladder. I have a hard time thinking of ways to use vintage items I've found or want to find - - I just know I like them. You can bet this idea is going on the to-do list! Love your porch by the way, it's so cheerful and cozy.
ReplyDeleteI love your sun room, going to stick around and see the rest of your house as well. I am now a new follower.
