{ GREEN FLEA MARKET CHAIRS }

i picked up a bunch

of these folding chairs

at the flea market last week

green has always been

my favorite color

but now it is a particular green

that has me smitten...



this is an amazing green

the pictures do not do it justice

i waxed these babies with


to give them that ' old

hangin' around in the barn

for years' look

smitten!

    I must admit that green is my favorite color although you'd think by looking at our cottage inside and out that it is yellow. This particular green reminds me of Ireland and I love what you've done with that wax. As I've said before...you've got guts girl...I don't know if I would have the nerve to put wax on my new paint but I LOVE it!!! By the way...I used to have 4 chairs just like these in British Columbia...we used them ever day in the kitchen ;) You're sure doing a wonderful job with your business...GOOD LUCK to you and your hubby!

  14. Maura was right about Ireland - I was inspired by the paint work on furniture and houses - then I found that colour on all sorts of old pieces all over Europe especially on country pieces - like these chairs!

  15. these folding chairs were very commonly used at funeral homes...not saying that is where yours came from, but it's where my mom's did!
