Hilary now I'm definitely ordering some, it's everywhere and so perfect and yummy, no need to try out 5 different blue-greens. Can't wait to get mine. Love your dresser.
ReplyDeleteThat dresser is soooo cute! I love how you refinished the top. Okay, I've GOT to try this paint! Did you use a brush or sprayer, if you don't mind me asking? (and I may have already asked you this once, so pardon if I have!!). And one more question, SORRY! How much paint did you use? It turned out so well, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about ordering this and have been teetering and tottering about it..Glad to get your opinion and thanks or trying it out! I am going to order some! :)Looks awesome! Alyssa
ReplyDeleteLove it! I placed an order today for a couple of colors, but now wish I had ordered the duck egg too!

Hi Hilary,
ReplyDeletebeautiful color choice and I just see now your new barn look, well done!
Also, in the back of picture one I see a lovely white doll house,...shame I don't live closer... but next year we are planning to go to the us on holiday, so perhaps I can find something similar, love it!
Have a good weekend,

Oh, and have I mentioned I'm smitten too, with your new header? Looks super!

Oh Hilary I LOVE it! What a beautiful soft look that paint has and I love the color. Now if I lived closer I'd by that dresser for our guest room and sell ours! I'm going to write that paint brand down so I don't forget it. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend!
ReplyDeleteMaura :)
You can just see the softness of that paint even on a computer screen, Hilary. It's amazing! What a beautiful color, too! I definitely want to use that the next time I have a painting project! Thanks for the beautiful inspiration. :)

The patina is luscious with that chalk paint, Hilary! Did you wax it and if so, what kind did you use? I'm really enjoying seeing people's projects with the chalk paint. Turns out there's a stockist about an hour from where I live so I'm looking forward to trying some by the summer. Just need to save my pennies first! :)
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Erin
This is so beautiful! I'm wanting to try this chalk paint. Love it!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,
Kathleen
Yea for chalk paint. Your dresser is just beautiful. That chalk paint sure makes it easy to redo lovely pieces like this. I'm smitten too!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Looks gorgeous. How's the durability? Do you have to use a product to protect the finish so it won't scratch?
ReplyDeleteJulie
Ooooo I love it! Beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteto answer julies questions... so far i have found the paint to be durable... it passed my "scratch test"! and yes you do need a top coat. this paint goes on very flat and ofcourse chalky. i have used both a furniture wax and a polycrylic to top coat. the polycrylic leaves a shiny finish. hope this helps. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! And that color is just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through another blog, and probly from another blog off that one..anywho, your work is FAN.FREAKIN.TABULOUS.!!!!!!! I am totally in luuurvve!
