Stunning!
ReplyDeleteHilary it's beautiful and plays it's own tune in the soft color. Fits in like a well loved decorative piece and doesn't scream piano, so perfect for your place.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very happy now. It would be a great time to learn to play

Your piano brought back many many fond memories for me, Hilary. I took piano lessons for 8 years as a little girl on the piano that stood in our dining room. My teacher was my mom's boss, who was the local librarian and opera buff. The lessons themselves always made me nervous, but I truly enjoyed practicing! :) Love seeing the painted version of my piano! ♥

Okay, you can't just show the finished job, you must tell us how you did it!!! I hate ugly pianos and have passed up quite a few just because I didn't like the look. You've given me hope!!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I loved the before . . . I like it even better now. What a great paint color choice (do you mind sharing it?) It's so out-of-the-box . . .Love it
ReplyDeleteWe have almost the exact same piano, and I want to paint it NOW!
ReplyDeleteYour piano looks FanTaSTic!!

I love it!
ReplyDeleteI just sold my piano! I painted it black a few years ago. I DID NOT want to paint it again, ( I got sooo sick of dusting it everyday, black is the worst for showing dust!). Plus no one was playing it so out the door it went :(. Looking at yours makes me wish I woulda just bit the bullet and painted the darn thing over again!
ReplyDeleteYours looks amazing! I love the color! Nuetral but with a little pizaz,
Have a fab day :)

ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! I want to paing our piano so bad, and it doesn't even look as nice as your before. :) It seems like soooo much work though! How long did it take you?
ReplyDeleteDroooooooool! I have a beautiful old piano I would love to paint, but hubs and brother would have heart attacks. (It's quarter sawn oak, don't you know.) Your piano looks so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've been catching up and you have some wonderful transformations! Love that green paint too.
Hi Hilary,
ReplyDeleteI came across your post searching for Annie Sloan chalk paint + piano. We just acquired a free Craigslist piano (yay!) and it NEEDS a new color desperately. I'm wondering if you could give me more details about the process on yours? Did you take it apart at all? What did you tape off? How many coats of chalk paint? And did you use the wax everyone talks about? Yikes! Many questions! Email if you have time. s.heitke@gmail.com
