You know, I went on holidays in August and when I came back my mother who had been house sitting had thwacked my plants down to next to nothing because they were weedy looking, and now they are these amazing lush enormous gorgeous hanging baskets and as much as I want to pull everything and get ready for fall, I can't either! So I totally understand!!!
Hello Hilary! I don't blame you for not wanting to touch your summer flowers...they look beautiful. It's one thing to change them out when they're looking bad but quite another to tear out healthy lush plants. I agree that you should leave them at least until fall is officially here. Good luck holding off! Enjoy your weekend. Maura :)
My flowers are still doing very well so I haven't gotten rid of the annual hanging baskets. I did however hang the fall front wreath out on the big window. So it currently looks like I am stuck in two seasons. Lol
Hi Hilary! I know the feeling, girl. My poor petunias were looking real sickly so I hacked them back a month ago. Now the verbena has taken over and the baskets look beautiful again! I don't blame you for not want wanting to touch them. Hang on to summer as long as you can! I know I am! :)
Yeah, leave them. They look so good!
ReplyDeleteNo touchy! Fall isn't officially for 2 more weeks so let 'em be :)
ReplyDeleteOh...they are so pretty. I can't touch mine until I know they are dead. I just threw out my poinsietta plant!! ;-D
