when we first moved here
being completely overwhelmed
by the whole moving process
I sat on the kitchen floor
crying...
"why did we buy a house for the porches?"
some days I still ask the same question...
but most days
I am happy we followed our hearts.

ReplyDeleteWonderful porches!! I wish I had some! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Porch!! It looks so inviting!
ReplyDeleteBuying a house for the porches seems perfectly logical to me - but then, I really love porches.
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind. I linked your post to my PORCH AND GARDEN PARTY at firstadream.blogspot.com.
I've so said that about every house we've owned...not about porches, but the inground pool, or the floor to ceiling closets, or somesuch. Eventually I remember my first love. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary!
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading all your posts from september, i missed some, but now I'm fully up to date! Love the wedding post and by the way, a porch is something I can dream about... Sigh, sigh... enjoy yours! Happy weekend!

Those porches are the kind that allow you to linger and tell a tale! Wonderful, for sure! Lezlee
ReplyDeleteOh hey I totally hear you! I bought my teeny weeny little house based on it's covered wrap around cedar porch... so I completely hear ya! And every summer and spring and fall, I sit out on it and fall all over in love with it again!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit to your sweet blog but I will be returning. I am also an old house owner and understand completely. Hope you enjoy a beautiful sunset this evening from one of your porches. We will be!
